Michael Alexander Zetterström

Zetterström took the long way home. He came through IK Brage's own academy, made his senior debut two years later and played 13 league matches that first season. In March 2015 he left on a free transfer to Kvarnsvedens IK, but the spell lasted only four appearances before he returned to Brage that December, again without a fee changing hands. He has stayed ever since.

The 2017 season was his breakthrough as a leader rather than a prospect: 24 matches and two goals in Division 1 Norra as Brage won promotion to Superettan. He has gone on to make more than 220 appearances for the club across all competitions and now captains the side. His contract has been extended repeatedly, most recently in November 2024.

Internationally, Zetterström represented Sweden at U19 level, winning two caps in 2012 and 2013, but a senior call-up has not followed.
