Aleksandr Sokolenko

Kyzyl-Zhar is where Sokolenko started and, where he ended up again: on 12 February 2026 the right-back signed with the Petropavlovsk-born side that gave him his professional debut back in 2015, on a contract running to the end of the year.

Kairat Almaty was the biggest step in that decade. He joined in the summer of 2017 and stayed for a season and a half, during which he won two Kazakhstan Cups. A loan to Ertis Pavlodar followed in early 2019, before a first return to Kyzyl-Zhar in 2020, where he made nine appearances before moving on again that October. Spells at Atyrau and Turan Turkistan, both joined as a free agent, filled out the years before this year's homecoming.

At international level, Sokolenko has yet to be capped by Kazakhstan's senior side, but he was a fixture for the under-21s between 2016 and 2018, making 11 appearances and scoring once — a penalty against Luxembourg's under-21s — as part of the qualifying campaign for the 2019 European Under-21 Championship.

He plays as a right-back despite being left-footed, and wears the number 71 shirt at Kyzyl-Zhar.
