Ammar Helac

Ammar Helac was born in Linz and came up through Donau Linz's youth system before making his senior debut for the club, going on to appear for its first team and reserves. A move across the city to Blau-Weiß Linz in November 2017 gave him a regular run in goal, and by the 2019–20 season he had kept four clean sheets in 19 appearances.

That form earned him a switch to Austria Wien in July 2020, a transfer reported to have cost the club somewhere in the region of €100,000 to €120,000. It did not work out as planned: despite being under contract until 2022, Helac never made an appearance for Austria Wien's first team, and he and the club mutually agreed to terminate the deal early in July 2022.

He rebuilt his career through a series of free transfers. A move to SC Austria Lustenau brought only three appearances before he joined Rheindorf Altach in July 2024, then TSV Hartberg a year later, culminating in his move to Sturm Graz.

Helac has also represented Austria at under-21 level, earning two caps between 2019 and 2020.
