About the player
Andrei Bondar is the only player from Kimry to be called up to a Russian national youth camp this century, or at least the first to be invited in the 21st century. In June 2022, aged 15, he was summoned to Under-16 training camps in Moscow.
The route there began at home, with Sputnik Kimry, where he played from 2014. He later trained at Tver SSHP-2006, and in 2021 helped its Under-16 side win gold at the "Golden Ring" tournament. That summer's call-up followed shortly afterwards.
Later in 2022 he moved south to the Rostov academy, joining after passing entrance exams in the ninth grade. He spent three years with the club's youth side, Rostov-M, in the Russian Youth Football League, making 44 appearances and scoring 12 goals. In 2025 he stepped up to Rostov-2 in the Second League, Division B, and played 13 matches there, scoring twice.
The next step came on 20 June 2026, when Rostov loaned him to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk for the 2026/27 season. The agreement runs until 30 June 2027, and it is his first spell in the First League. So far he has made three appearances, 64 minutes in all, without a goal or an assist.
He has not yet won a senior title. The Golden Ring gold with the Tver youth side remains the only trophy on his record.
