Eric Tovo

Eric Tovo came up through Almirante Brown's youth ranks and made his professional debut there in 2013, working his way through Argentina's lower divisions with Ferrocarril Midland and Estudiantes de Buenos Aires before joining Deportivo Riestra in 2019.

A spell in Ecuador with Deportivo Cuenca followed in 2021, where he contributed two goals in 15 appearances. He returned to Riestra in 2022 and became a fixture at the back as the club chased a first-ever promotion to the Primera División.

That chase came from the dead in the 2023 Primera Nacional promotion playoffs, and Tovo was central to it: he finished as the top scorer among Riestra's defenders in the Reducido, with decisive goals against Almirante Brown and Santamarina. The run ended in Riestra's historic promotion, the club's first appearance in Argentina's top flight.

Tovo left again in 2024, this time for Alianza Atlético in Peru's Liga 1, before returning once more to Riestra. He has never been called up to the Argentina national team at any level, his career built entirely within domestic lower-division football, a brief foreign posting in Ecuador and Peru, and the one campaign that mattered most: the promotion push that put Riestra in the Primera División for the first time.
