About the player
Gavril Kan came up through the youth system at Taraz, where he spent six years before making 15 appearances for the senior side. During that spell he was also sent out on loan several times, to Taraz-M twice, to Kaspiy Aktau and to Taraz-Karatau.
His career since leaving Taraz has moved club to club rather than in a straight line: a free transfer to Igilik, a season in Russia's Second Division with Peresvet, then a spell at Khan-Tengri before he joined Altay Oskemen on a free transfer, reportedly signing terms that run to 2026. At international level, he has represented Kazakhstan only at youth level, with caps for the under-17, under-19 and under-21 sides.
Although he is registered as a midfielder, Kan operates specifically as a left winger for Altay. He is right-footed, which shapes how he plays that flank, and wears the number 7 shirt for the club.
