About the player
Ivan Kukushkin took part at both ends of a penalty in the Russian Cup tie against CSKA in September 2025. The goalkeeper saved a spot-kick from his opposite number and then scored one of his own in the shootout.
Kukushkin is a native of Saint Petersburg and came through the Zenit academy. His first senior appearances were for Zenit-2 in 2020, when he played three matches. That year he also went on loan to Zvezda, though he did not get onto the pitch there. The steadier spell came at Ufa from 2021 to 2023, where he made 18 First League appearances.
From Ufa he moved to Pari NN, but the move brought little playing time. He appeared in four matches over two seasons, and in 2024 he went on loan to Baltika.
Baltika is where his career took shape. He was part of the squad that won the First League in 2024/25. The club then bought out his contract, and he is now tied to Baltika until 2028.
