Jakub Palán arrived at Komárno on a one-year loan from Slavia Prague in July 2025, a free transfer between the two clubs that brought the Czech left-back into Slovakia's Niké Liga. He wears the number 18 shirt and, although listed as a defender, has also featured as a left winger or midfielder over the course of his development.

Palán is a product of Slavia Prague's academy, where he progressed through the club's youth ranks before appearing for the Slavia B side during the 2023/2024 season. Rather than an immediate step into the Czech First League, his path took him through a series of loan spells in the lower divisions. In the 2024/2025 season he was sent out to Motorlet Praha in the third tier, before a further loan in February 2025 took him to Sokol Živanice, also in the third division. He returned to Slavia in June 2025, only weeks before the move to Komárno was finalised.

That sequence of loans means Palán's senior career to date has been built largely away from Slavia's first team, in reserve football and third-division spells rather than top-flight appearances. The switch to Komárno now gives him a season in a different country and a different league, with the aim of building on that lower-division experience.
