Kabongo Tshimanga

Kabongo Tshimanga scored twice on his Barnet debut, against Oldham Athletic, after joining the club from Crawley Town in a move completed on 22 January 2026. The forward has kept up the habit since: across his two seasons at the club he has scored 16 goals in 28 league appearances, with four goals and three assists from seven matches so far in the current League Two campaign, for an average rating of 7.51.

Tshimanga's route to League Two was not a direct one. Born in Kinshasa, he came through the youth academy at Milton Keynes Dons before dropping into non-league football, first with Boston United and then Oxford City. A spell at Boreham Wood followed, and it was from there that he earned a move back into the Football League with Chesterfield. Peterborough United paid a fee of €320,000 to sign him in 2023, and after two seasons at London Road he moved on to Crawley Town on a free transfer, the club from which Barnet would later sign him.

Along the way he was loaned out repeatedly, spending time at Aldershot Town, Chelmsford City, Corby Town, Nuneaton Town, Chesham United, Yeovil Town, Fleetwood Town and Swindon Town. Eligible for both England and the DR Congo, Tshimanga has represented England at C international level, called up in April 2019 for a friendly against a Bedfordshire FA XI staged to mark the county association's 125th anniversary. He made one appearance for the side without scoring, and has not featured for a senior national team.
