About the player
Kaya Makosso signed for Kudrivka on a free transfer on 7 February 2026, in time for the club's first season in the Ukrainian top flight.
Makosso grew up in Pointe-Noire, in the Republic of the Congo, and is a product of the country's national football training centre, the CNFF. He was named in the Congo squad for the 2015 CAF U23 Championship qualifiers. He then left for Accra Lions in Ghana in 2016, and a loan to Batatais in Brazil followed in 2018. With Congo's under-20 side, he played six times between 2016 and 2020 and scored four goals.
Europe came in 2019, when he moved to Real Balompédica Linense in Spain. In 2020 he was loaned to Córdoba CF B and to UD Los Barrios, and in 2021 he joined Vélez CF, where he stayed until 2023.
The Norwegian chapter was short. Vélez sent him on loan to Moss FK in 2023, and on 27 March 2024 IK Start signed him on a free transfer. His contract at Start was not renewed after the 2024 season, and he moved on to Venezuela.
He is right-footed and plays in midfield. At Kudrivka he joins a squad that is new to the Ukrainian Premier League.
