About the player
Sharifullin came up through the Neftekhimik academy in Nizhnekamsk and broke into senior football with the club in 2020, but the bulk of his career has been spent finding minutes elsewhere. Since then he has barely stayed in one place for a full season: a loan to Tyumen carried him through 2022–2023, a further loan took him to Irtysh Omsk for 2023–2024, and he has since worn the colours of Mashuk-KMV in Pyatigorsk across two separate spells either side of a brief stint at Amkar Perm. That pattern of loans, mostly in the second and third tiers of Russian football, has defined his career far more than anything he has done at his parent club.
The numbers built up along the way are modest rather than spectacular: around 114 league appearances, four goals and two assists. He has not been capped at any level for Russia, and his career so far has brought no team trophies or individual awards.
Standing 184 cm, Sharifullin returned to Mashuk-KMV for the 2025–2026 season after his time at Amkar Perm, continuing a path built on loan spells rather than a settled run in one shirt. He played for the Nizhnekamsk club's reserve side between 2019 and 2021 before the senior team and, subsequently, a string of other clubs took over his development.
