Louie Joseph Sibley

Louie Sibley left Derby County as a free agent in the summer of 2024, signing for Oxford United on 3 July 2024.

The Derby years were substantial. Sibley won the club's Academy Player of the Year award for 2017–18 and was part of the Under-18 side that took the Premier League title in 2018–19. He made his first-team debut in August 2019, and his league debut followed that December. He was named Scholar of the Season for 2019–20. By the time he left he had played 173 times for the club and scored 20 goals, 13 of them in the league. His final season, 2023–24, ended with Derby finishing as runners-up in League One and gaining promotion to the Championship, and he was a key part of that side.

Life at Oxford has been less settled. He has made 19 appearances and scored once, and has spent time away on loan. In January 2025 he joined Rotherham United for the rest of that season. He scored on his debut against Burton Albion and finished with two goals in 21 league games. In January 2026 he moved to Bradford City on loan until the end of the 2025–26 season and played four league games without scoring.

Sibley is left-footed and has played for England at youth level, with five caps for the Under-17s, two for the Under-18s, one for the Under-19s and one for the Under-20s in 2021. He has not been capped by the senior side.
