Michal Fukala

Michal Fukala spent six years at Slovan Liberec, after leaving his home town club as a teenager. He grew up in Frýdek-Místek, where he played from the age of nine or ten in the youth teams of FK Frýdek-Místek, having first trained at 1. BFK Frýdlant nad Ostravicí. His professional debut for Frýdek-Místek came in April 2017, and a year later Liberec signed him.

At Liberec he also played for the reserve side, Slovan Liberec B, in the 2019/20 and 2023/24 seasons. His time there ended in 2024, and on 18 June that year he joined Baník Ostrava on a free transfer, on a two-year contract with an option to extend. He turned out for Baník Ostrava B in 2024/25 as well. He did not win a league or cup title with either club.

Fukala's youth international career was busy. He won three caps for the Czech Republic at under-18 level in 2018, then 13 caps and a goal for the under-19s between 2018 and 2019. He added three appearances for the under-20s in 2019 and 12 for the under-21s between 2021 and 2023. He has not played for the senior national team.

On 1 July 2025 he moved to FC Zlín, again on a free transfer. The contract runs for three years, until 30 June 2028, which gives the defender a settled base after two moves in as many summers.
