About the player
Marvin Hübel came up through the Swiss lower leagues before establishing himself as a Super League goalkeeper. Born in Wettingen, he began at FC Tägerig and FC Wohlen before joining FC Aarau's youth setup in 2016. He became the starting goalkeeper and held that role through two promotions: from the Promotion League to the Challenge League, and then, in 2023, from the Challenge League to the Super League.
Hübel returned to FC Aarau in June 2023 as first-choice goalkeeper and went on to make more than 100 appearances for the club. He signed permanently with Grasshopper Club Zürich in July 2026 on a contract running to June 2028, taking the number one shirt.
Internationally, Hübel has been part of the Swiss youth setup at U15, U16, U17, U19 and U20 level, picking up three caps with the U20s, and he was included in the Switzerland U21 squad.
