About the player
Răzvan Rădu spent his early years in the FCSB academy before his career took an unusual detour through the lower divisions. In February 2024 he moved out on loan to Metalul Buzău, then playing in Liga III, and helped the club win the league and earn promotion that season, appearing 12 times.
Rather than returning to Bucharest, Rădu stayed with Metalul Buzău for the following campaign in Liga II, making 24 league appearances as the left-back established himself as a regular starter. The loan spell became a permanent move in the summer of 2025, tying his future to the club that had given him his chance in senior football.
That path led back to the capital in June 2026, when Dinamo București signed him from Metalul Buzău for a fee of €60,000, with Metalul retaining a 20% sell-on stake in any future transfer. Rădu signed a contract running to 2029, with the club holding an option to extend it by a further two years.
A left-footed defender, Rădu has also featured for Romania's under-19 side, with two caps to his name. He should not be confused with the older goalkeeper of the same name, born in 1984.
