About the player
Salim Laghzaoui joined Fredrikstad from Lyn on 1 September 2025 on a permanent contract running to 2030. The move came only months after he had extended his Lyn deal to 2027 in March 2025.
His route to that point stayed within Oslo's football system. He started at Lille Tøyen in 2011 and moved to Vålerenga in 2014, where he stayed four years. In 2018 he joined Lyn, first in the youth teams. He made his senior debut for the club in 2022 and remained there until the switch to Fredrikstad.
Laghzaoui is a left-footed midfielder.
His international future is not settled. He is of Moroccan descent, and in September 2025 Morocco called him up to their under-20 side for a training camp. He has not played a competitive match for Morocco. He has no senior caps for Norway.
