Teun Bijleveld

After leaving SV Ouderkerk, he spent close to a decade in the AZ Alkmaar academy before making his senior bow with Jong AZ, helping the reserve side lift the Tweede Divisie title in his first season. A free move to Jong Ajax followed, where he won the Eerste Divisie in 2017–18, though the club's reserve side could not be promoted under the competition's regulations. His first senior goal came that September, against Telstar.

He joined FC Emmen in 2021. There, in the 2021–22 season, he was part of the squad that won the Eerste Divisie and went up to the Eredivisie, making a dozen appearances along the way. His contract was cancelled by mutual consent the following August, and he signed for Roda JC Kerkrade. It was at Roda, in December 2022, that he scored his first competitive goal in more than four years — fittingly, against his former club Heracles.

In 2024 Bijleveld took his career abroad for the first time, joining Serie C side US Triestina on a free transfer. He returned to the Netherlands a year later, agreeing a three-year contract with Almere City that runs to 2028.

At youth level, Bijleveld was capped repeatedly for the Netherlands, from the under-16s through to the under-19s, scoring at both under-17 and under-19 level. He was also called into the under-21 squad in November 2018, though he did not add an appearance at that level.
