Vadim Pobudey

In May 2024, Vadim Pobudey scored what should have been a Belarusian Cup goal against Isloch, only for the referee to disallow it. He later called the decision "an absolutely incomprehensible cancellation".

Pobudey's path to Zhodino ran through the lower rungs of Belarusian football. He started out in the Granit academy in Mikashevichi before moving through Hantsavichy and Baranavichy, where he won the Belarusian Second League in 2014 and scored six goals in 65 appearances. From there he stepped up through Dinamo-Brest and Isloch, then Dnyapro-Mahiliou, a brief spell with Zhetysu in Kazakhstan, and Gomel, where he scored seven goals in 29 matches in 2021.

Since 2022 he has been a regular for Torpedo-BelAZ, and it is there that his career has produced its clearest silverware. He added a Belarusian Super Cup in 2024, when the Rustat index named him man of the match with a score of 235. He has twice finished on the podium in the Belarusian championship with Zhodino. In May 2026 he reached his 150th appearance for the club.

At international level, Pobudey played five times for Belarus Under-21 before a single senior cap, coming on in a 0:2 defeat to Estonia in October 2021.
