About the player
The transfer was already agreed, verbally, with Atlético Goianiense . He joined a side sitting top of Série B.
Before that came a decade of short stays across Brazilian regional football. Wadson came through the academy at Juventude (MA) , the club also known as Juventude Samas, in his home state of Maranhão. He then moved between Atlético Bacabal and Tuntum , where he stayed three consecutive seasons, and later played for Timon .
In 2024 he crossed the country to Espírito Santo. He turned out for Vitória (ES) in the Copa Espírito Santo and was named the tournament's best left-back, which earned him a contract at Rio Branco (ES) . Spells at América (PE) also feature in his record.
February 2025 took him back to Maranhão with Moto Club , and the same year he appeared for Sampaio Corrêa in the Copa do Nordeste. At Anapolina across 2025 and early 2026 he was a regular in the Campeonato Goiano side that reached the semi-finals.
At Juventude he has played 14 matches in Série B, scoring once and providing one assist, plus two Copa do Brasil ties, including the win over Guaporé (RO) that took the club through. In July 2026 he came into the starting eleven after Diogo Barbosa was ruled out injured.
