About the player
Zakaria Loukili came through Malmö FF's own academy and made his first-team debut in 2024, the season the club won the Allsvenskan title. The step up followed a title at youth level: in 2022 he won the P17 Allsvenskan with the academy side.
Loukili was born in Copenhagen but moved to Malmö at the age of one and grew up in the Bellevue district. He holds Swedish citizenship and plays for Sweden, although he is also eligible for Denmark and Morocco.
His international record covers three age groups. He won nine caps and scored once for Sweden at under-17 level, then 18 caps and three goals at under-19 level. He has also played twice for the under-21s without scoring. As of March 2025 that made 29 caps and four goals in all.
His senior career has since moved outside Malmö. In the autumn of 2025 he went on loan to Varberg in the Superettan. For 2026 Malmö loaned him to Landskrona BoIS, also in the Superettan, for the full season. Neither move involved a transfer fee.
