«The People's Club»
Celtiis Ligue Pro football arrived at Stade Aplahoué only recently, and the leap from provincial side to national winner took shape over two years rather than one: runners-up to Coton FC in 2023–24, four points short, then champions themselves in 2024–25, beating that same Coton FC on penalties after the final finished 1-1.
The club answers to SONEB, the state water and electricity company, an arrangement that sits oddly with the nickname the town gave it anyway: The People's Club. Blue and white, worn locally as "les bleus et blancs du Couffo", after the region rather than the club itself.
The Confederation Cup run reached the second round before RS Berkane ended it; in the Champions League, Al Ahli Tripoli did the same at the first attempt.
None of it changes what matters most at home: Coton FC.
