Gloria Băneasa

Gloria Băneasa open the season with a first taste of the national stage: a place in the 2025–26 Cupa României's national phase against AFC Dunărea Călărași, after two campaigns in Liga III's Seria III that both ended in sixth place.

The club describes its own history as recent, and the record backs that up: promotion came only in 2022, after Gloria won the Constanța county championship, Liga a IV-a, then advanced. Viitorul Murighiol, champions of Tulcea, could not meet the licensing conditions required to go up, and the tie went to Gloria by default.

Eugen Trică, a former Romania international, took charge in September 2023 and was gone before the season ended, dismissed with the team seventh; Costin Lazăr took over from there. Up front, Robert Răducanu arrived the same year with FC U Craiova and Universitatea Cluj behind him.

Fixtures against Axiopolis Cernavodă carry the weight of a proper derby-ul județean, and matches with Farul Constanța's lower sides have brought Gloria some of its best results in Liga IV. Red and white are the club colours, and the Stadionul Central Băneasa is where they play.

Last May, before a fixture against CS Amara, the team's bus was involved in a highway accident that left several players injured.
