Gramadense

For most of its life Gramadense existed to give the youth of Gramado somewhere to play, not to compete for titles — a club run on amateur terms from its founding on 22 December 1929 through more than nine decades of youth development before it ever entered senior football as a professional side. That step came only in 2022, when it joined the Campeonato Gaúcho Série B, the third tier of football in Rio Grande do Sul.

The old ground, Estádio dos Pinheirais, held about 1,500 people and came down in 2017. Since then the club known as Trem da Serra has played its matches at the Estádio Vila Olímpica, in the Canela area near Gramado, while work goes on at a new home, the Arena Gramadense on Linha Carazal, being built with a planned capacity of 5,000.

The professional switch paid off quickly: Gramadense won the Campeonato Gaúcho Série B in 2024. Matches against the other clubs of the Serra Gaúcha region, played as the Clássico Serrano, carry the rivalry that matters most to supporters.

Kerlly is the name most tied to that rise, as the club's top scorer through its first seasons as a professional outfit.
