The town of Maliq sits in Korçë County, and the football side there has belonged to the municipality since it was set up in 1950. It has stayed municipal property ever since.
Green and white, home matches at Stadiumi Jovan Asko, a ground holding 1,500. The club has spent its life between the Kategoria e Dytë and the Kategoria e Parë, the third and second tiers, and has never won the Superliga or the Albanian Cup.
The season that people in Maliq still bring up is 2020–21. In Group B of the third tier the team went through the campaign without losing — 21 wins, 3 draws — and took the group. The group title still counted.
The cup gave them two runs to the Round of 16, in 2021–22 and again the following season. Around that time Abbey Agbodzie, a Ghanaian defender, came on loan from Skënderbeu Korçë.
