Namibia Women

The Brave Gladiators played their first official international on 25 October 2003 and lost 13–0 to South Africa.

The Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek, with room for 10,300, is the team's historical home, but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) decommissioned it in 2021 over safety concerns. Since then the side has turned out at the NFA Technical Centre, and sometimes abroad, without a settled ground of its own.

The team wears blue at home, and the shirts now come from a local brand, 90mins+. Captain Zenatha Coleman has played professionally in Europe and Cyprus, which puts her ahead of most of the squad in experience of the game outside Namibia.

Namibia reached the final of the COSAFA Women's Championship, the southern African regional tournament, in 2006 and lost it. In the 2025 final the Brave Gladiators met South Africa, the Banyana Banyana, and won 2–1. It was the team's first major title, and it came against the opponent that had beaten them 13–0 in their first match.

Beyond the region the story stops short. Namibia have never reached the FIFA Women's World Cup or the Olympic Games. Their best showing in the Africa Women Cup of Nations remains a group-stage exit in 2014.
