Norway U18

Norway's under-18 side no longer occupies a fixed place on the international calendar. Men's football phased the category out in favour of U19 and U20 football.

What the team still does is train and play friendlies, based around Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, where the federation keeps its headquarters and the senior sides prepare. For camps abroad the squad has used the Marbella Football Center in Spain, and at home it has turned up at Fartstadion in Hamar. Opponents have included the Netherlands, Australia and Ukraine at the same age level.

The record worth mentioning belongs to the age group above: the G19 team qualified for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2024, its first appearance at that stage since 2005. It marks the qualification out from the routine business of friendlies at U18 level.

The U18 shirt has been on players who went on to define Norwegian football rather than youth football specifically. None of that history sits with U18 football itself — it belongs to what came after — but it is the reason anyone still looks at team sheets from this level at all.
