Panambi

Panambi's clearest opposition never wears a fixed name. Matches against Santa Rosa clubs, chiefly Juventus Atlético Clube and Esporte Clube Santa Rosa, recur through the Gaúcho Second Division and regional cups, and locals file them loosely under "Clássicos do Noroeste" rather than any single derby title.

Sociedade Esportiva e Recreativa Panambi took its current form in 2004, distinct from an earlier Grêmio Esportivo Panambi that had represented the town back in the 1972 Gaúcho Amateur Championship. The name carried on; the club itself started over.

The green-and-white side plays out of Estádio João Marimon Júnior, a 3,000-seat ground in the Rio Grande do Sul town that gave the club its nickname, "Verde-branca do Vale." At senior level Panambi sits in the Campeonato Gaúcho Third Division, with its best state result still the 2002 runner-up finish in the Second Division. A run in the 2014 Copa Serrana ended in the first phase.

The youth setup has done better than the first team: a Sub-17 state title in 2017, and a Sub-20 runner-up finish in 2015. The senior side has spent the years since 2002 without a state championship of its own.
