Portalban / Gletterens

In 2017 Portalban/Gletterens won Group 1 of the 2. Liga Interregional and went up to the 1. Liga Classic, the fourth tier. They lasted one season. Relegation came at the end of 2017–18, and the club spent four years working its way back, winning the same group again in 2021–22 and returning to the division.

FC Portalban and FC Gletterens merged in April 1990, and the nickname, Les Broyards, points to the region they share rather than to either village. The first team plays at Les Grèves in Portalban, while the reserves use an artificial pitch at Terrain du Devin in Gletterens, so each village still has a ground with the club's name on it. Both grounds hold 1,000.

The 2022–23 Swiss Cup was the club's best recent run. Portalban/Gletterens beat FC Grand-Saconnex 1–0 in the first round, then lost 0–2 to FC Wil in the second. Their local rivals are Stade-Payerne, and the meeting between them is called the Derby Broyard.

The players who have made the biggest names elsewhere arrived late. Mustafa Sejmenović, a Bosnian defender born in Switzerland and a former captain of Yverdon-Sport, joined in 2021. Steve Beleck, a Cameroon international striker who had played for Fiorentina, Udinese, Watford and Yverdon-Sport, came for the 2024–25 season.

The 1. Liga Classic remains the highest level the club has reached.
