Servette II

Servette II spend this season in the 1. Liga Classic, Group 1, the fourth tier of Swiss football, after a year that went badly in the division above. The reserves won Group 1 in 2022–23 and went up to the 1. Liga Promotion. They finished 18th there in 2023–24 and came back down for 2024–25.

The side exists to feed the first team. Reserve sides in Switzerland are not eligible for the main Swiss Cup, so the league is where they are judged, and the results matter less than who steps up from it. Kastriot Imeri joined the academy at 14 and made his professional debut at 16. In 2022 he moved to BSC Young Boys for a club-record fee. Alexis Antunes, who debuted at 17 and took the number 10 shirt, and the winger Christopher Lungoyi came through in the same years. More recently Loun Srdanovic, Malek Ishuayed, Miguel Mardochée and Téo Allix have made appearances for the first team.

The first team play at the Stade de Genève, which holds 30,084. The reserves use the pitches at the Centre Sportif de Balexert, in Vernier on the edge of Geneva, where the main ground holds about 1,000. For some matches they go to the Stade des Arbères in Meyrin, particularly against FC Meyrin. Fourth-tier fixtures bring them up against Étoile Carouge and Meyrin, and those Geneva derbies mean more to the reserves than the Lake Geneva derby against FC Lausanne-Sport does, since Lausanne are a first-team opponent.
