The squad that trains at Kocaeli Kartepe this year is one that keeps coming third: a bronze at the 2026 Mediterranean Games behind the record it built and lost, and a third-place finish at the Portugal International Tournament in 2024.

There is no league table here and no fixture list running week to week. Turkey U18 exists to prepare players for the senior national side, assembling for friendlies and short tournaments rather than a season. What holds instead of a home ground is a training base: alongside Kocaeli Kartepe, the squad has worked out of Edis Spor Tesisleri and, when altitude conditioning is needed, the high-altitude camp centre in Erzurum.

The players go by Ay Yıldızlılar , the star-and-crescent bearers, and wear red at home with white on the road, colours lifted straight from the flag.
