TuS Koblenz

Neuendorf gave the club its first shape a century ago, a district team that spent decades under different names and mergers before Koblenz took over the identity in 1982 — a change sharp enough that traditionalists refused it outright and split off to keep the old Neuendorf name for themselves.

What followed was a slow climb and a harder fall. The club reached the 2. Bundesliga for the first time in 2006, finishing second in the Regionalliga Süd, and stayed there until 2010. The stay was already compromised: an eight-point deduction in the 2007–08 season, handed down for administrative failures, made survival harder than the table suggested. Relegation came in 2010, a withdrawal from the 3. Liga followed in 2011, and the professional company behind the club went bankrupt in 2015. TuS Koblenz now plays in the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar, the fifth tier, finishing fourth in 2024/25.

Lars Bender spent ten years in the club before leaving for Kickers Offenbach in 2011.

Stadion Oberwerth once held over 15,000; it now takes 9,500, with seating for 2,000.

None of it carries the weight of the derby against FC Rot-Weiß Koblenz. The Stadtderby still draws on that history every time the sides meet.
