Braun Field

The ground sits within the broad sweep of the Kolkata Maidan. It is a plain rectangle of natural grass. The name comes from the Braunfield family, merchants or officials from the colonial era, and has stuck to this patch of earth since Kidderpore Sporting Club moved from the Bhukailash Rajbari.

The players do not tread on rubber or synthetic turf; the surface is earth and grass, though the condition changes with the weather.

The atmosphere does not come from the structure but from the history of the club that has called it home for over a century. The ground is not famous for its capacity or its design.
