Its permanent spectator stand holds 3,500 people , and after the games, the 1,500 temporary seats were removed to return the venue to its standard configuration.

The layout is dictated by dual-use.

It has served as a home for several Hong Kong football clubs, though tenancies are rarely permanent. Eastern Sports Club have played here since 2019, following a brief stint in 2014–15. Kitchee SC held the ground between 2010 and 2013 before moving on, and are due to return in 2026. The ground hosted track and field events for both the 2009 East Asian Games and the 2009 Hong Kong Games.
