Mustangs — Pioneers: 7:33, NFL

The Pioneers beat the Mustangs 33 to 7 in the NFL regular season on October 10th. The visitors made it two wins on the trot and one against their hosts now, and here's the thing — this time the margin was wider than the last meeting.

Mustangs have now dropped three matches in a row. They lost 21-33 to the Pioneers three weeks ago, then 17-38 at home to the Garnet Chargers, and before that 10-21 away to the Yellow Jackets. By then they were already second to everything.

Pioneers came into the fixture with momentum. They beat the Engineers 38-14 and the Presidents 26-11 in their previous two games. This form carried through — they found a way back into it after the first quarter and never looked back.

The result means the Mustangs have not won since September. Three losses in a row puts real pressure on the coaching staff. The Pioneers, meanwhile, are running out of games where they can afford to slip up.
