Carlos Eduardo Ventura Soriano

Carlos Ventura's route to Bolivian football ran through Spain's regional leagues. Born in Santo Domingo, he moved to Spain at the age of seven and built his game in its lower divisions, passing through CD Montesinos, CFI Alicante, Hércules B, AC Torrellano, UD Horadada and Callosa Deportiva between 2016 and 2021. The turning point came when he returned to the Dominican Republic to sign for Cibao FC in 2021, a move he would repeat twice more over the following years, interspersed with further spells back in Spain at Mazarrón CF and CD Algar.

At Oriente Petrolero in Bolivia in 2024, Ventura scored five goals in ten appearances before a July move to Al-Nasr SC in the Kuwaiti Premier League, where he added a single goal in 17 league outings across the 2024–25 season. A fourth stint at Cibao FC followed in 2025, and he scored seven times in 26 matches.

That form led to his transfer to The Strongest in January 2026, a deal worth €9,000. Alongside his club career, Ventura has represented the Dominican Republic national team since his senior debut in 2021, earning 12 caps in CONCACAF Nations League and World Cup qualifying matches against opponents including Peru, Chile, Jamaica and Antigua and Barbuda, though he has yet to score for the national side. He also holds Curaçao nationality but has no history of representing that country internationally.
