About the player
Herman Nils Johansson's road to the top flight ran through Sweden's lower divisions. He made his name at Friska Viljor FC, a spell in which he scored 53 goals in 112 appearances. A short stint at Sandvikens IF followed, where he added nine goals in 23 appearances in the Ettan Norra, before Mjällby AIF signed him at the end of 2020.
Johansson made 136 appearances for Mjällby, 117 of them in the league, contributing 17 goals and 15 assists from right-back or right wing-back, with occasional use further forward as a wide midfielder. The high point came in 2025, when Mjällby won the Allsvenskan title, the first top-flight championship in the club's history.
He was later named in Sweden's squad for the 2026 World Cup, called up as a replacement for the injured Emil Holm.
