About the player
Higor Luiz de Souza, known simply as Higor, wears the number 6 shirt for Vila Nova as a left-back. Born in Piracicaba, São Paulo, he came through the club's own youth ranks rather than arriving from elsewhere, and his path back to the first team ran through a loan spell away from home.
In 2024 Vila Nova sent him out to Iporá to get regular minutes. In January 2025 he returned to Vila Nova on a permanent basis, rejoining the club that had developed him rather than moving on elsewhere.
