Iván Darío Angulo Cortés

Iván Darío Angulo Cortés is from San Andrés de Tumaco and began his senior career at Envigado F.C. in 2017. In January 2019 he moved to Palmeiras on loan with an option to buy, which the club exercised that June for a reported fee of around $3 million. He spent the following seasons out on loan, gaining experience at Cruzeiro, Botafogo and Portimonense in Portugal, where he made 32 appearances and scored once.

He had already won the U.S. Open Cup with Orlando City in 2022, where he took the Copa do Brasil, the Campeonato Paulista and the Florida Cup, all in 2020. In July 2025 he was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday bench after setting up two goals against Columbus Crew.

At youth level, Angulo was a regular for Colombia's U-20 side in 2019, earning 14 caps and scoring three goals across the South American U-20 Championship and the FIFA U-20 World Cup. He later added four appearances for the Colombia U-23 team at the 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament.
