Tiago Sousa

Tiago Souza came through Bahia's academy, joining the club's youth setup at around 15 and making his professional debut for the senior side in the Campeonato Baiano in February 2023. Over the following two seasons he became a regular presence across the senior and under-20 squads, and 2025 turned into his breakout year: he was the leading scorer of the Copa do Nordeste with six goals, and in the second leg of the final against Confiança he scored a hat-trick, the first player to do so in a final in the competition's history. He is also counted among the small number of players to have had a direct hand in a goal in the Brasileirão before turning 20 in the 21st century.

That run of form led to a move away from Salvador. In December 2025, Souza signed for Orlando City SC through Major League Soccer's U22 Initiative, with Bahia keeping a resale clause on a future sale. His contract with the American club runs through the 2027-28 season, with an option to extend it a further year.
