Junior Alexis Hernández Angulo

Deportes Tolima raised Junior Alexis Hernández Angulo from its own youth ranks, and the left-back has never worn another club's shirt. Born in Orito, Putumayo, he came through the divisiones menores without a loan spell elsewhere, making his professional debut in the Copa Colombia in 2019 and staying on ever since.

The commitment paid off in silverware: Hernández won the Categoría Primera A Torneo Apertura with Tolima in 2021 and followed it with the Superliga de Colombia in 2022. Among the individual moments in an otherwise team-focused career, he is remembered for a goal against Junior FC.

His form at club level brought a nod from the national setup. Néstor Lorenzo included him in Colombia's 20-man squad for a friendly against the United States in Carson, California, in January 2023, a match that finished goalless. Hernández did not feature that day, having taken part in a training microcycle in Barranquilla a few months earlier, in October 2022. He is yet to make his senior international debut.

At Tolima, he remains a product entirely of the club's own development system — a defender whose career, from the academy to the first team, has unfolded without a single transfer.
