L. Singh

Luke Singh spent much of his youth trying to convince Toronto FC he belonged. Rejected by the club's academy at 13, he returned for another trial and made the cut in 2017, with coaches shifting him from midfield to centre-back along the way. He debuted for Toronto FC III in League1 Ontario the following year, scoring once in ten appearances, before moving up to Toronto FC II in USL League One from 2019 to 2021.

A loan to Brøndby IF in the Danish Superliga in 2019 did not bring first-team minutes, but Singh signed his first professional contract with Toronto FC in April 2021. Loan spells followed in the Canadian Premier League, first at FC Edmonton in 2022, where he made 23 appearances, then at Atlético Ottawa across 2023 and 2024, where he added 44 league appearances and a goal. Toronto FC declined his contract option at the end of 2024, and he joined York United FC on a free transfer in January 2025.

Born and raised in Canada, he turned down an invitation to train with the Canadian senior national team in May 2021, choosing instead to join Trinidad and Tobago for World Cup qualifiers in honour of his parents' heritage. He had already represented the country at U-17 and U-20 level, and made his senior debut in June 2023, earning two caps by that July.
