Renato Josipović

Renato Josipović was born in Šibenik and came through the youth ranks of HNK Šibenik before moving to the GNK Dinamo Zagreb academy in 2015. He worked his way up through Dinamo Zagreb II, making 25 appearances in the Druga HNL, and earned two first-team appearances in the Prva HNL during the 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons. While part of the Dinamo squad, he collected two Croatian Championship titles and a Croatian Cup.

His career since leaving Dinamo has taken him across three countries. After his contract in Zagreb was terminated, he joined Bosnia and Herzegovina's NK Široki Brijeg in 2022 on a free transfer, making 25 league appearances. In August 2023 he moved to Cyprus with Pafos FC, but did not make a single league appearance for the first team there. A brief spell with NK Rudeš in September 2024 ended almost as soon as it began, with the contract mutually terminated before he played a match. He returned to Široki Brijeg in January 2025, making 39 league appearances before his move to HNK Gorica the following summer, again on a free transfer.

Josipović has represented Croatia at every youth level from U14 through U20, but has not featured for the senior national side. His move to Gorica, confirmed in July, gives him a fresh chance to build on the run of first-team football he found in his second spell at Široki Brijeg.
