About the player
Rubén Darío Manjarrés Jiménez turned professional at Barranquilla FC, making his debut in the Categoría Primera B in 2018 and going on to make around 50 appearances for the club, scoring twice, before a move to Junior FC on a free transfer in January 2021. His time at Junior was brief: just seven appearances in the Categoría Primera A that season.
He found more regular football on loan at Alianza Petrolera, where he featured 49 times and scored three goals across the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. In the middle of that spell, in July 2023, manager Hubert Bodhert asked for him at Independiente Santa Fe, where he made 17 appearances and scored once before returning to Alianza Petrolera in January 2024. He stayed there until the end of 2025.
In December 2025, Manjarrés signed for La Equidad on a free transfer. The move landed at an unusual moment for the club: La Equidad's professional licence had already been sold to a new outfit, Internacional de Bogotá, formally founded on 10 December 2025, which will use that slot to enter the Categoría Primera A in 2026. As a result, Manjarrés is registered with Internacional de Bogotá for the coming season.
His career so far has not brought a major title or an individual award, nor a call-up to the Colombian national team at any level.
