Bobcats

Green High School's oldest fixture on the schedule runs against Manchester and against the Rams within the same Southern Ohio Conference grouping that has kept the Bobcats measuring themselves against the same handful of towns for decades.

Franklin Furnace itself explains why that circle stayed small.

The colours have stayed kelly green, white and black, worn at Green High School Field, where the team has had to defend home dates rather than simply occupy them.

The current campus dates to 1973, a year after the football programme itself got going in 1972, which put the Bobcats on the same patch of ground they still use for home fixtures against Manchester and the rest of the conference.
