The In(n) Energie Arena in Kirchdorf am Inn holds 2,500 people. When the Munich Cowboys come to town, the fixture gets its own name, "Dorf gegen Stadt" — village against city.
That rivalry says something about where the club came from. It started in 1986 as the Simbach Wildcats and only became the Kirchdorf Wildcats after the move to Kirchdorf am Inn in 2004. A club from a small town facing down a side from Munich has existed since then.
They took the 2. Bundesliga Süd in 1994 and 2003, then added three more titles in the GFL2 Süd — 2014, 2017, and most recently 2023.
