Wilstermann Cooperativa

The Estadio Víctor Agustín Ugarte holds around 32,000 people. That is the setting for a club built by miners rather than by a boardroom: it began in 1958 as Wilstermann Cooperativas, a team of mining workers, and carried that identity into its name even after joining with the club 10 de Noviembre in 2000. The link to that trade never faded — the club still answers to the Federación de Cooperativas Mineras de Potosí, and its followers go by Los Cooperativistas, sometimes Los Mineros Cooperativistas.

What the club has to show for that history sits at regional level. It has taken the Potosí football association's Primera 'A' title repeatedly — in 1983, 1984, and then in a run of seasons from 2011 through 2025 — and those wins are what fill its trophy record. Red and blue have stayed the club's colours throughout, the shirt in red with blue trim at home.

The fixture that matters most is against Real Potosí, alongside a rivalry with CD Mineros Potosí, though the city's sharpest label, the Clásico Potosino, belongs strictly to Real Potosí and Nacional Potosí. Jorge Cuéllar carried the club's name furthest, going on to play for the Bolivia national team, a reference point still used to measure what Wilstermann Cooperativa can produce.

The gap in that record is the top flight. The club had a handful of seasons in the Bolivian Primera División, in 1971, 1974, 1975, and 1985, and has not managed to force its way back since, nor has it ever lifted a national title or the Copa Bolivia.
