CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl
Pueblo, United States
Formerly: Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl
The CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl stands on the university campus. Built in 2008, the ground was not paid for by the university. Private fundraising by the 'Friends of Football' raised over $13 million to construct the venue, which the group then leased to CSU Pueblo. A dispute over a university vaccination policy in 2021 ended that arrangement. The group dissolved its relationship with the university and donated the stadium, along with the removal of the sponsor's name, to the CSU Pueblo Foundation. The stadium features an artificial turf surface and holds 6,500 spectators. It has hosted significant non-college events, including the Colorado High School Activities Association state football championships in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. It also hosted the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2012, 2023, and 2025. In 2025, it hosted all seven fall football championship games. The university allocated $1.9 million in 2019 for upgrades completed in 2020, which included replacing the track surface and improving the concourse. In early 2025, a project began to expand and modernize stadium suites, adding new hospitality spaces without altering the general seating capacity. The stadium's address is 2200 Bonforte Blvd., Pueblo, CO 81001. It serves as the home field for the CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves football team. The capacity has remained stable since opening.
