Hancock Stadium
Normal, United States
Hancock Stadium in Normal, Illinois, opened on September 21, 1963. The ground is best known for the Mid-America Classic rivalry against Eastern Illinois University, which it hosts annually.
The stadium holds 13,391 spectators. The pitch was renamed Jay and Lori Bergman Field in July 2025, though the ground itself has kept its original title. Since 2023 it has hosted the IHSA Football State Championships, adding a layer of high school fixtures to its college schedule. Illinois State won Missouri Valley Conference titles at home in 1999, 2014 and 2015, and the ground has also staged NCAA FCS playoff matches.
Outside the stands, a memorial installed in 2015 honors seven Illinois State University athletic staff and boosters who died in a plane crash. The memorial features seven columns and a sculpture of a Battle Bird.
The address is 1 North Main Street, Normal, IL 61761.
