Lobos Plateados beat Diablos Rojos 95:84 in the LNBP on Friday night. The visitors took the match after a previous meeting just yesterday, when they won 89:88 in a one-point affair. This result extends their recent momentum after that narrow victory.
Plateados shot better from the field, making 33 of 64 attempts compared to 28 of 60 for the hosts. They also connected on 14 three-pointers from 27 tries, while Diablos Rojos managed 12 of 37. The difference in efficiency was clear throughout.
Rebounds told another story. Plateados collected 30 boards against 26 for the hosts, with 22 defensive and 8 offensive rebounds. Diablos Rojos had 20 defensive and only 6 offensive. And here's the thing — Plateados also held the ball better, committing just nine turnovers to thirteen for the hosts.
Both teams recorded seventeen assists, though Plateados added seven steals to Diablos Rojos' three. The hosts had more blocks with five, while the visitors managed only one. Personal fouls were similar — 21 for Diablos Rojos, 23 for Plateados.
Diablos Rojos have now lost four of their last five matches, including both meetings with Plateados this week. They were also defeated by Fersa Rega de Monterrey in both of their previous encounters. Plateados, meanwhile, have won three straight games after those losses to Panteras earlier in the month.
