Runar moved clear at the top of the REMA 1000-ligaen with a 22:33 win at Folio on Saturday. The result left the hosts fifth with four points and extended the visitors' unbeaten run to three matches.
Runar's away side showed little hesitation from the opening whistle. They took control early and saw the game out without real pressure from Folio's defence. The visitors had already won their previous two fixtures before this trip to Kristiansand.
We had tipped the visitors to win with 55 per cent confidence going in. That prediction held up as Runar managed the distance between the sides comfortably. The hosts struggled to find rhythm against a side that had been scoring freely all season.
Folio's last five results had been mixed, with two wins, two losses and a draw before this defeat. They had beaten Sandnes 27:22 on the road but could not match Runar's pace. The visitors' recent form included victories over Kolsrud and Bergen as well.
Runar's three wins from three games placed them two points ahead of their nearest rivals. Folio's single draw in their opening three matches offered little comfort after this result. The gap between the sides in the table widened to two points.
